World View successfully launched its high-altitude balloon this morning with a Stratollite gondola for the first long duration test and to carry a Zinger chicken sandwich for a KSC marketing campaign.

Our Stratollite shakedown cruise has commenced! Congrats to our team on a perfect launch this morning. We officially clocked the launch at 6:11am PT against a backdrop of beautiful topography and sunrise in Page, Arizona. You can check out the video of the launch here: https://www.facebook.com/KFC/.

Keep your eyes on our Facebook and twitter pages for updates on our first attempt at a multi-day sail through the stratosphere. We welcome you to come along for the whole ride.

My very best,

– Jane Poynter
