About a year later than initially expected, ULA may finally announce the selection of an engine for the Vulcan launcher – Eric Berger on Twitter:

“Based upon some documents I saw today that I had not seen before, I expect ULA to announce a decision on the Vulcan rocket engine before long.”

The Blue Origin BE-4 looks to be the best bet for the selection but Aerojet’s AR1 can’t be ruled out.

A view of Firefly Aerospace‘s engine test facility – Firefly Aerospace on Twitter:

“A great view of Firefly Aerospace Test Stand 2, our 100-foot vertical stand. Our Stage 2 development tanks recently completed multiple successful propellant loading and unloading tests. Next up: installing Lightning engine for integrated hotfire test. #MakingSpaceForEveryone”
