Allison Odyssey is the chief executive officer of NewSpace Global, managing operations, analysis, sales, and industry relationships. Odyssey joined NSG in 2014, and is responsible for transforming the company from a start-up to the global information powerhouse that it is today. Odyssey is known throughout the industry for her tenacious commitment to advancing the commercialization of space. Prior to joining NSG, Odyssey held a variety of technical, business, and operational roles at Space Florida, Zero Gravity Corporation, and Performance Designs. While at Space Florida, she provided professional services to, and facilitated investments in several commercial space companies while helping to refresh the brand of Cape Canaveral Spaceport to be commercially-friendly. Odyssey also managed the formation of the space commerce park, Exploration Park at Kennedy Space Center, and held various board seats during her tenure there. She was an early employee of ZERO-G, where she managed operations and led the inflight team on commercial weightless flights throughout the US. Odyssey also spent time early in her career designing and engineering parachutes for Performance Designs. She holds a Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and Bachelor of Science degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Clark Lindsey started as the Managing Editor of NewSpace Watch in 2012, and also performs research and writes content for NSG deep dive reports. Clark has been tracking the commercial space industry for over a decade and has written thousands of articles to date, making NSG’s archives a truly unique historical asset. Clark earned a PhD in experimental physics from the University of California at Riverside. After post-docs with Iowa State and Fermilab, he worked for several years at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, focusing on the use of neural network pattern recognition techniques and hardware in high energy physics experiments.
Dr. Stephen A. Steiner III serves as a business and technical advisor to NSG. Steiner holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, an SM in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a PhD in Materials Chemistry and Engineering from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, also from MIT. Steiner has over 15 years of experience in the commercial space industry and has previously served as a venture capital technical due diligence consultant. Steiner is an accomplished researcher in the field of aerospace materials, with expertise in aerogels, microgravity materials processing, and nanoengineered composites. Steiner is also the President & CEO of Aerogel Technologies, LLC, a leading manufacturer of aerogel materials, and is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in the field of aerogels. In his spare time, Steiner moonlights as a flight director for the Zero Gravity Corporation, a commercial provider of weightless parabolic flights.
